LIWL Limited Edition Love T-Shirt

Happy Bank Holiday Monday!

What a gorgeous day it’s been today after what was a very windy and a bit of a wet weekend here in Yorkshire. Yes I’ve took advantage of it today and sat out in the garden for a short while and making the most of my day off before work Tuesday, it’s going to be a busy week.

So on Friday evening I shared my limited edition T-shirt with sparkly red ‘Love’ text and boy so many of you seemed to love it and placed orders for these, which I’m so grateful for. With it being a limited edition, it’ll only stay on the website for a short time and then you won’t be able to get this again in this style of sparkly red vinyl. You’ll find I’ll do more limited editions over the year so I can’t wait to share what’s next, but it won’t be for a bit yet. I’ll only ever have one limited edition on the website at anyone time.

Ive printed this up in both adults and children’s T-shirt’s, just white is available as it really sets off the red glitter text and you know me I love a bit of glitter! These can go in the machine to be washed, I recommend 40 degrees and not to tumble dry, if ironing (I iron mine but I’m saying if as I know one of my customers doesn’t really iron, she’ll know who she is if she’s reading this and will giggle 🤣🙈) I’d always recommend you iron the T-shirt inside out so that the heat of the iron doesn’t melt the vinyl.

Now my aim is to one day be able to spot people out wearing my branded clothing lol…….now wouldn’t that be amazing if it really did happen? I’ve had new customers buying my range as well as older customers and it makes me realise I’m doing something right and my branding is on point too. I actually love printing the t-shits, I do have a set day for this so it doesn’t clash with me making wax and getting those orders ready. I tend to print once a week, depending on how many orders I have in as I like to try and do them all at the same time if it’s possible. I either print on a Tuesday or Thursday, again this depends if I’ve your size in stock, if not then i do my supplier order on a Sunday and at the moment deliveries from suppliers are taking longer, normally they are despatched the next working day, but due to covid19 they can now take up to 7 working days to arrive with me, then I need to print them up. My dispatch times on clothing are normally up to 10 working days, but I’ve extended it to up to 14 working days for the time being,  this excludes weekends and bank holidays, but hopefully you won’t need to wait too long.

Now if you do order and you have Instagram, I’d love for you to share and tag me in your stories or account, I have 2 Instagram accounts so if you could tag me using both accounts that would be amazing. Of course there’s my Little Ideas With Love account and my LIWL_Sparkle account. I’ve added the name tag below which you can scan using your phone and it’ll you’ll be able to follow my accounts.

So it’s now time for me to go and put my feet up………well I’ve relaxed most of the day as it is bank holiday lol. I hope you all have an amazing sparkly evening and thank you so much for taking time to read my blog, I really appreciate it.

Take care and stay safe! ❤️🌈

Subscriptions and my Instagram giveaway

Good evening……I can’t believe how quickly Monday’s come round, it doesn’t seem 2 minutes since my last blog. So I’m hoping you’re all well and you’ve had a great week too.

So this week I’m going to chat to you about 2 things, subscription boxes and also my giveaway over on Instagram. So first up I’ll tell you about my monthly subscription boxes.

Many of you are already signed up, but if you’ve been waiting for a slot now’s your chance to grab one. I’m opening slots for this evening only Monday 18th May for a couple of hours, so if you want a slot now’s your time. Here’s a little bit about them and I’ll also share the direct link with you too at the end of my blog.
So once a month I put together 4 new scents made up in wax pods and these are delivered straight to your door. Your monthly payment will be taken from your bank card you first use to purchase a slot. So if you grab one this evening this will get you June’s box and then your next payments not due until 1st July and then payment will always be from the 1st of each month. You can unsubscribe at anytime after your first payments taken, so there’s no tie in and if you just need a little break you can by logging into your account and heading to subscriptions and unsubscribing, if this is done before your next payment dates due it’ll cancel out the day before so it won’t take payment off your card.
There’s a few benefits to being a monthly subscriber, you can request to join the VIP subscribers group over on Facebook, inside this group I share information about what’s coming up and also share discount codes if any of the scents make my forever list. Also coming to this group are vip boxes, these are only available to subscribers and can be purchased as a one off treat, more details will be posted in the group when boxes have been made up. You can also earn loyalty points, so for every 4 months of continued payments you can earn, £4 then £8 and then £14 these are given in voucher codes to use on the website and all details are shared inside the vip group. That £26 worth over coupons to use over the 12 months, these can’t be saved up and must be used within the expiry date once given out.
If you decide to subscribe, please do not add any other items to your basket as this takes a repeat payment each month from you bank card and if adding other items you’ll then be charged each month for these too and it would mean we’d have to cancel your subscription meaning you could miss out. Here’s the link, be sure to grab one this evening though as the listing won’t stay live. UPDATE 10PM listing has now closed,  also if you do sign up then be sure to request to join the VIP Facebook group too  https://www.facebook.com/groups/896339447450635/?ref=share

Also have you seen my giveaway over on Instagram? Be sure to head on over and enter, you can pick from either a prize I’ve put together the value around £25 or you can pick a £30 voucher to spend on the website, it’s been a mix from those who’ve entered so far and many have shared and tagged me to their stories, please if entering make sure you read all rules to be in for a chance of winning. More and more of my customers are using Instagram now and it’s another amazing platform for me to be seen and find new customers. I love receiving messages to my Instagram account and love how many tag me in their stories, it’s such a lovely way to connect with so many of you. If you’re not on why not take a look, I can promise you’ll love it as much as you love Facebook.

I’ll be back next a Monday, haven’t decided yet what I’ll talk about, but I’ll make sure it’s something good. Thank you so much for taking time to read and comment, one of my admin team are now keeping track of those who read and comment as at the end of the month one person will be given a discount code to use on the website as a thank you, it’s just my way of saying thanks for taking time each week to read and comment as I’m so grateful to each and everyone of you for doing this. Feel free to share my blog on your social media, I often share on my Pinterest too, I actually need to use this more, but there’s just not enough hours in the day……wonder if I could steel a few extra hours? 🤣🙈

Stay safe everyone, remember you’re all amazing and lockdown 2020 is certainly going to be something we all remember for a very long time. Smile, laugh, be happy and keep sparkling bright!

Have a sparkly evening!

Update on what’s happening during lockdown

Good evening!

Slight change to what I was going to write about as I thought with the recent update from Boris I’d be better sharing what’s happening here at LIWL HQ.

So as of 11th May 2020 I’ll still be following guidelines of social distancing and posting out just a couple of times each week. My reason behind this is I’m still having to work alone, I haven’t the foot space to be able to keep a 2 meter distant exit in my workshop so it would be classed as unsafe for my staff. Because I’m having to work alone this means I have to do all the work myself which is taking longer as I’ve no one to help me. I’m working Monday to Friday but shorter days, this is also due to having Alfie home and I need to spend time with him whilst he does his school work, he’s doing very well with this too. I actually admire anyone who home schools full time, it’s not easy especially when you’re running a business and also have a household to look after too.

Parcels are packed daily, but not sent out each day as I like to collect these until I’ve got many packed up so that it makes it easier for my postman who collects from me. We as always are keeping our distance and we have a system in place that we don’t have to be near each other when he collects as it’s all left outside the workshop along with his paperwork. We just have a little wave and say hello through the window, it seems strange still, but it’s keeping us both safe.

Ive also turned off collection until September, I’ve done this as I feel that it’s safer to not allow customers to collect until we know it’s much safer and also because I’m working alone it’s not as easy to offer collection due to my working hours being all over the place as I don’t have set times at the money I just grab some work hours as and when I can fit them in around family life. Collections will start up again, but at the moment I’m unable to say when.

As some of you may have seen, my scent list has got smaller over the last 2 months, this is due to everything that’s happening, also some scents have gone on holiday and will come back and also helps me as a smaller scent list I can manage to make stock easier whilst working alone. Some scents will be matched to seasons, which I’m slowly starting to sort out. So for example, today Snow Fairies was taken off my scent list, this is because it’s going to be an autumn/winter scent and I decided to do it today as all stock on the website had sold of this in wax so it’s a perfect time to end it until later in the year. It’s good to keep scent lists moving and changing as then it gives you far more of a variety, there’ll be a lot more changes this month with my scent list as stock runs out, which I’ll keep you all updated on.

Customers who are wanting to add to orders, I’m still able to do this, but if you wish to add you must do this before I start to pack your current order up. You’ll need to message my Facebook/Instagram business page along with your order number and what you’d like to add to it, then I’ll give you instruction on how to do this if this is at all possible. I’m unable to hold onto orders so please make sure you contact me as soon as you think you’d like to add to them. Orders are taking longer to process at the moment and they can take up to 10 working days before they are due to be packed up and then they’ll go on my next collection date. Once your order leaves me Royal Mail will deliver your parcel, but please give it at least 15 working days before you contact me if it’s not arrived. We’ve extended this as Royal Mail are experimenting high volume of parcels and taking longer to deliver, which is very unstandable at this moment in time. They’ve been really amazing though and are getting most orders delivered within 6 days of collecting them from me, sometimes quicker depending on your area and your sorting office.

Now last week I talked about Instagram and this week I’ll be  having an Instagram giveaway. You’ll need to watch out for this as it’ll be posted to my newsfeed, but the giveaway won’t be posted on Facebook, I will mention it on Facebook, but you’ll need to be on Instagram to be able to enter. As always there’ll be rules, so you must make sure you follow them all to be in for a chance of winning. It’s been lovely seeing a few of you interacting on my Instagram and sharing pictures to your stories and tagging me, be sure to keep doing this as it helps me to be seen even more and I’ve had a few more followers this week too. On weekends you’ll find me over on Instagram more, I do all my posting to Facebook from Instagram and then have a quick look through and check my inbox and then jump off. If you’ve not tried Instagram do, it’s really lovely and I find lots of amazing accounts via Instagram and I’ve purchased off a few too. I’ll always share my purchases to my stories so keep your eyes peeled.

Right I’m off, I’m going to start on my inbox and emails and then put my feet up, it’s been a very busy day. I’d just like to say a massive thank you for all your orders and thank you to everyone who’s just recently bought off me for the first time too, I’m so very grateful.

Be sure to have an amazing sparkly week, stay safe and……..happy melting! ❤️🌈

Instagram

Good evening…….Monday’s seem to be coming round much quicker! I hope you all had a great week and that this week brings you lots of love and sparkle.

So today I want to talk a little about my Instagram account. I know some of you already follow me on there, but for those of you who don’t here’s the direct link so you can head over and follow me https://www.instagram.com/littleideaswithlove/

Over the last few weeks I’ve spent more time over on Instagram and been posting direct from there over to my Facebook business page. I use Instagram lots for my stories, I love stories and I love how I’m able to tell my followers a story of what’s happening at LIWL HQ.

Now my questions tonight are……..do you have Instagram? If so are you following me? Instagrams a great way to advertise your business, now I know I’ve got many customers who also run their own business. If you comment regular on my Instagram account using your business account, it means my followers will start to see you and if they love what you do they’ll head over and follow you. It works totally different to Facebook, Instagram is more for connecting with similar businesses and finding your ideal follower. I also have a personal Instagram account, but I rarely log into it as I want many to find my business account and to connect with me through that one.

‘’Now I have many customers who often tell me they don’t know how to use Instagram, it’s simple…….follow the type of accounts you love. I follow people who have, home accounts, cleaning, meditation, crystals, I also follow a lot of my customers too. I then make sure I connect with those I follow, well I am following for a reason and that’s so my feed is filled with what they are sharing. For years I rarely did much with my Instagram, but last year I started to use it correctly and watched my followers grow. Don’t get me wrong I do lose followers, these tend to be accounts that only follow you if you follow them……big no, no I never do follow for follow, I follow the accounts I actually love and because I want to see what they are posting. I often buy from people who are on Instagram too, I’ve bought off some lovely businesses recently……I’ve actually an order arriving soon, I’ll share on my Instagram stories when it arrives.

I’ve decided to share with you my top tips for Instagram, just in case some of you aren’t sure how it all works……

Use hashtags when sharing a post, these need to be relevant to what you’re sharing, so for example say you’re sharing a post of what you’re melting from me and it’s a wax brittle then you’d use hashtags like these

#liwl

#waxbrittle

#waxaddict

#littleideaswithlove

#smellsamazing

#whatsinyourwarmer

#sherbetlemon (if that’s what you’re melting or whichever scent you’re melting)

#sweetieshop (again if this is the scent range you’re melting)

You can see what hashtags I use and you can select to follow them just like you can follow your favourite accounts, I add hashtags to each post, I now always place them in my comments, as I always share my post direct to my Facebook business page and I don’t want hashtags going on my Facebook post, so adding them after I’ve posted is perfect.
‘Now you’ve gone to share your photo and used some hashtags don’t forget to tag me in your post too, this means I’ll see you’ve done a post that you want me to see, so just use @ sign and then my business name littleideaswithlove it’ll come up as you type it on Instagram.

When commenting on a business post, always use 5 or more words, emojis don’t count and any less than 5 words Instagram don’t count it as a real comment, saying a small sentence shows other followers you’re actually interested in what that accounts just shared. Yes sometimes I may just use a couple of words on someone’s post as it may not need a sentence, but I try and always do over 5 words if I can.

‘Now if you’re accounts set to private, then it means I can’t share any posts you may tag me in, some people prefer a private account and that’s totally fine, but if you’re wanting others to see then you’ll have to have it so everyone can see your profile. Many people open a second account just to share things they want others to see and then keep their personal one private.

When looking at one of my posts, there’s a little arrow, this means you can share it to your stories, sharing to your stories means everyone who follows you will be able to see what you’ve shared of mine, tagging me in your share also means it’ll appear in my inbox and then I can reshare it to my stories too.

You might think it sounds complicated, but trust me it’s not, it’s so much fun once you get to know how to use it properly.

‘’I’m going to start having giveaways on Instagram and these won’t be shared to Facebook, I’m currently planning one as we speak and it’s going to be pretty big, I just need to make sure I word it all correctly so that it works what I’m going to ask my followers to do. I’m hoping over the next 2 weeks I’ll be ready to share what it is, it’s going to be bigger than I’ve done in a long time, but there’ll be things you’ll need to do to be in for a chance of winning and it’ll mean if your accounts set private then I won’t see the steps I’ve asked you to do.

‘I’ll be sharing more about this in my stories over the next week, so be sure to watch out for them. I will also tell people on Facebook about this giveaway, but if they want to enter they’ll need to be on Instagram.

I’ll probably chat again about Instagram on my next blog, as I’ll tell you more about my giveaway too. So be sure to watch out for it all so you don’t miss out.

‘Right I’m off, if you’ve got a question about what I’ve chatted about this evening, please leave a comment and I’ll hopefully be able to answer you.

Stay safe, you’re all doing amazing during this Covid-19 lockdown and hopefully we’ll start to get back to normality very soon.

‘’Love

Rachel…….x
