Ways to find out what’s been posted

Good evening!

I hope you are all well and enjoyed your weekend. This evening I want to talk to you all about how you can find out what’s happening via using my social media or looking through past blogs.

Ive got a few different social media platforms I use, mainly Instagram and Facebook. On Facebook I have my business page and then 2 different Facebook groups. Now i tend  to post from Instagram straight onto my business page on Facebook and then I’ll use my 2 Facebook groups for different things. My main group is my Little Melts With Love https://www.facebook.com/groups/850232061701698/?ref=share
inside this group you’ll find one of the nicest community of people ever, this has a mixture of customers and people who haven’t bought from me but love to see what’s going on inside of the group and some often join in with the daily chat. I often go live in this group, sometimes I’ll make wax for everyone to see or I may have something I want to talk about to those who are in the group. The group is a great place to be able to use the search bar to look for questions others may have asked in the past. I have an announcement list where I pin things that are important to the top of the group so members can find the important stuff easily. I have many people who may message me with the same question, but most times it’ll have already been asked within the group, so all you need to do is pop your question in the search part at the top and if it’s been asked before everyone who’s asked it their post will show up. I do also have one of the best admin teams ever, who if you tag in the group they’ll be more than happy to answer your questions and if they are unable to then they’ll point you in the right direction. This group is used for customers to chat about what they are melting, sharing photos of deliveries and also asking what everyone’s favourites are, it’s my little melt family and it’s a lovely one at that.

Then there’s my VIP subscription members group, this group is for those who have an active subscription https://www.facebook.com/groups/896339447450635/?ref=share

now I only ever talk about subscription boxes in this group and share with subscribers any loyalty codes that they’ve earned, discount codes I may have for them off past subscription scents and I may share the odd picture when I’m making up subscription boxes for the following month. Again you can search inside the group to see if anyone’s asked the question you maybe wanting to ask. I have announcements pinned to the top just like the main group and also my amazing admin team are always around to help where they can.

The main group is really an amazing group to be apart of, to join you must answer all questions. It can take a few weeks to sometimes be approved as we don’t manage that side of it daily and we do check out all accounts as unfortunately there’s many fake accounts out there and we want to protect all our members who are in our group. We also have a strict rule that we don’t allow any other wax businesses within the group and anyone who’s not answered all the questions.  We’ve nothing to hide, but this is my community I’ve built up and my safe place for my customers and those who love to see what others are buying. We often go through the group and remove inactive accounts or accounts that look like they are no longer in use. Our groups small, but it’s filled with so much love.

If for any reason you’re unable to find an answer to your question within the groups and you’ve also asked my admin team by tagging them, then please message my business page. I aim to reply to messages within 48 hours, longer if they  are sent on Friday’s as I don’t reply to messages on a weekend. I don’t often check my page on a weekend as I like to spend time with my family so it’s my time to switch off from work. I’m the same on evenings too that messages don’t get answered. I do receive a lot so it does take time to get through them and I always start with the oldest first. This is why it’s good to use the groups to find many answers as most of the time someone will be able to help you. If you have a question regarding your order, please message along with your order number and question, I’m unable to look into any orders without an order number so please make sure you supply this when messaging. I don’t reply to any order messages to my personal profile, anything to do with your order must either be sent to my Facebook business page or my Instagram business account.

Don’t forget that my blogs another great place to check as each week I’m talking about many different things and will hopefully answer many popular questions you may all have.

Right I’m off to relax for the evening. I hope you all have a beautiful evening and…….happy melting! ❤️🌈

About my scent list

Good evening!

Ok it’s getting scary now how quickly these weeks are flying by and can you believe we’re in July already? This month would have been the end of Alfie’s year 7 and I sometimes feel sad he’s had to miss so much of his first year in high school, but I’m grateful we picked one of the best schools around us as during this pandemic they’ve shown so much support it’s really helped us massively.

So this week I’m going to share with you some scents which are coming to an end or possibly going on holiday, if they go on holiday it can be between 1-10 months, it all depends as I’m currently changing my list to fit seasons and also having limited editions that will only last until the scent sells out. Now to keep up to date with scents ending and going on holiday, you’ll need to keep your eyes on my blog as I’ll share most of it here. I’ve many customers who aren’t on any of my social media platforms and my blog is accessible for everyone so this is where I’ll share lots of information. All blogs I write you can always look back on, you’re more than welcome to comment on each blog if you wish too. There’s been a little Incentive for this  to encourage customers and followers to interact with me via my blog.

ENDING

Lavender
Sherbet Lemon
Frankincense  & Black Cherry
No More Dirty Laundry – replaced with Heavenly
Mango & Starfruit – limited edition
Candyfloss – limited edition
Rose
Flower Bomb
The One
Sandalwood
Hide Her In The Wardrobe

GOING ON HOLIDAY

Pride
Lets Get Flirty
Hide Him In The Wardrobe
Pineapple & Mango
AvoLimeBath

Now the ones that are ending, I may from time to time bring them back as an exclusive which means I’ll make stock using all the fragrance oil and once sold then it’ll end. The 2 new ones Mango & Starfruit and Candy Floss these were jut limited editions and I’ve one more batch to make then once that’s sold it will end. I keep my scent list moving as it’s good for change and also gives customers other scents to try. Now if you love trying scents then my subscription box is amazing to receive every month. I’ve got a waiting list for this, but if you’re in my Fb group you can add your name to it, or if you’re on my Instagram you can DM me and I’ll add your name.

As the seasons  change, my list will change. Now during spring/summer I’ll have a good range of fruity scents, but then as we start to go into autumn many of them will go, but I’ll always have some from each category on my list. Normally 2 from each if not more, but from time to time you may just see one choice, but it won’t be for long it’ll be just why I’m deciding what scents are coming next.

Now some of the above scents that are ending, some will be made up for the very last time, a few have already ended. So whenever I post to my social media if it’s the last batch I will always state this. You’ll need to keep your eyes on my Instagram and Facebook business page as this is where it will be shared, it won’t be shared in my group. Then every season I’ll update on my blog scents that are ending and scents going on holiday, I’ll also announce on here too if it’s coming back from holiday.

I just also want to mention that in August I’m taking a 2 week holiday. This will be more towards the start, but I’ll confirm dates closer to the time as before I take my 2 weeks off I’ll get monthly subscription boxes out. I will post dates all over my social media, but I’ll keep reminding everyone as the website will remain open but whilst I’m closed no orders will leave. I’ll use the time running up to it to run my stock down so that the websites not stocked up loads whilst I’m closed and then once I return I’ll then start to stock it up again.

I hope you all have an amazing evening and enjoyed reading this weeks blog.

Love

Rachel……x

A few changes here at LIWL

Good evening and happy Monday! Again the week has flown by and I can’t believe we’re almost in July……where has this year gone? I did think with being in lock down the weeks would feel slow and that it would be hard, but I feel every week has flown by and it doesn’t seem 2 mins ago since we first heard the words lockdown.

Anyway, this evening I’ve a few things I wish to chat to you about, which I feel are important, so make sure you read to the very end. So first I want to talk to you about my working week……….

So as many of us are in the same situation, children at home, helping them learn and do school work, not being able to see people or go places like how we use too, it’s really made me think…….well we’ve all had a lot of thinking time lately! I’ve felt since lockdown I’ve had to change my work around, to fit in with my youngest, to make sure I’m here if he needs help with his school work and to be here as a mum too. So whilst he’s been doing school work I’ve been keeping myself busy in the house…..mainly the kitchen and I’ve refound my love for cooking. Now I’ve always loved cooking, but running a busy successful business, you don’t always have the time to do much and your hours can be a little all over, especially when you work from home, so when Alfie is normally out at school I tend to work 8am-4pm so that it doesn’t interfere with him being at home as I make sure I work the hours he’s out at school, then weekends off. So as he walked down the drive I’d close my workshop up and head to the house with him. We’d sit and chat and then he’d go off and do his own thing whilst I cooked tea. Now I still cooked good meals, but not as good as what I’m doing now since lockdown and cooking makes me happy. I’ve also found ive had more quality time with both Alfie and his dad and that we’ve become closer as a family. It’s also made me realise we only get one life and to grab it and take full advantage of the time we have together. So I’ve decided that even though I love what I do and love my business, it’s time to do more with my family and run my business part time. So my new working days will be 4 days each week, my day off in the week will change as I’ll fit it around my life and also around my times I know I need to be in work ie Subscription realise day. So as I work 4 days a week one day a week I’ll have to spend time in the house, catching up on jobs, shopping, cooking and baking. I’ll also have weekends off, unless I feel I need to work, but my days will always be a 4 day week. My working hours once Alfie’s back at school will then be 8-3pm at the moment I don’t have set hours due to Alfie being home so I just work when I can at the moment, but I still work a fair amount of hours and it’s not effected dispatch times either. Currently I’ve extended my dispatch times to 10 working days, clothing is 3-4 weeks. Once Alfie’s back at school my dispatch times will go back to 6 working days. Now in order to keep on top as I’m still currently working alone until Annie can return to work, it means my scent list will shrink. I’ve been slowly cutting my list down since the start of this year and will carry on and next week in my blog I’m going to share what scents will be coming to an end. Sometimes some go on holiday, but in my blog I’ll state if it’s having a holiday or ending forever. I love what I do and I’ll carry on running my business until I retire, so you’re stuck with me for a very long time, but I feel I can still offer you all so much, yet also have some time to myself and to spend with my family too.

So next I’ve got to tell you is larger wax crumbs in tins. Now the tins are for a limited time only as I may switch to larger jars rather than tins along with my mini jars I already offer. Now the mini jars have roughly the same amount of wax in them as a wax pod does and the larger tins have around the same as what a bag of brittle weighs. Now I don’t put weights on my products as I weigh everything with a trade approved scale, which means I can legally display weights, but because my products are hand poured weights can slightly vary by a gram or two plus how your scales weigh at home aren’t as precise as trade approved ones so I choose not to display them, as of a customer was to weigh using their scales the weight would be different to mine, but on average a wax pod will weigh without it’s packaging approximately  40-44g and a bag of brittle will weigh approximately 90-95g. Again everyone will slightly vary as they are hand poured, but this is just to give you an example.
Now I will be adding a few scents to the original listing of wax crumbs later this evening, so you’ll need to watch out for this post and not every scent will be available so the list will change often, so all I can suggest if you want crumbs and see them in one of your favourite scents, grab it as it could be a long time before it’s back in crumbs.

Now don’t forget, to keep update make sure you read my blog each week, I’ll be talking more about things that are happening on here and this will be your only way of knowing….unless one of my customers gets excited and shares the news in my group……but do you really want to maybe miss out or will you be like many others and read my blog each week? I know what I’d do…….?

So if you a leave a comment I’ll reply, I do go through many on an evening so be sure to check back to see if I’ve responded. I hope you’ve all enjoyed reading my blog and I just want to thank you for all your continued support, I’m so grateful to each and everyone of you.

Take care and stay safe!

LIWL Limited Edition Love T-Shirt

Happy Bank Holiday Monday!

What a gorgeous day it’s been today after what was a very windy and a bit of a wet weekend here in Yorkshire. Yes I’ve took advantage of it today and sat out in the garden for a short while and making the most of my day off before work Tuesday, it’s going to be a busy week.

So on Friday evening I shared my limited edition T-shirt with sparkly red ‘Love’ text and boy so many of you seemed to love it and placed orders for these, which I’m so grateful for. With it being a limited edition, it’ll only stay on the website for a short time and then you won’t be able to get this again in this style of sparkly red vinyl. You’ll find I’ll do more limited editions over the year so I can’t wait to share what’s next, but it won’t be for a bit yet. I’ll only ever have one limited edition on the website at anyone time.

Ive printed this up in both adults and children’s T-shirt’s, just white is available as it really sets off the red glitter text and you know me I love a bit of glitter! These can go in the machine to be washed, I recommend 40 degrees and not to tumble dry, if ironing (I iron mine but I’m saying if as I know one of my customers doesn’t really iron, she’ll know who she is if she’s reading this and will giggle ??) I’d always recommend you iron the T-shirt inside out so that the heat of the iron doesn’t melt the vinyl.

Now my aim is to one day be able to spot people out wearing my branded clothing lol…….now wouldn’t that be amazing if it really did happen? I’ve had new customers buying my range as well as older customers and it makes me realise I’m doing something right and my branding is on point too. I actually love printing the t-shits, I do have a set day for this so it doesn’t clash with me making wax and getting those orders ready. I tend to print once a week, depending on how many orders I have in as I like to try and do them all at the same time if it’s possible. I either print on a Tuesday or Thursday, again this depends if I’ve your size in stock, if not then i do my supplier order on a Sunday and at the moment deliveries from suppliers are taking longer, normally they are despatched the next working day, but due to covid19 they can now take up to 7 working days to arrive with me, then I need to print them up. My dispatch times on clothing are normally up to 10 working days, but I’ve extended it to up to 14 working days for the time being,  this excludes weekends and bank holidays, but hopefully you won’t need to wait too long.

Now if you do order and you have Instagram, I’d love for you to share and tag me in your stories or account, I have 2 Instagram accounts so if you could tag me using both accounts that would be amazing. Of course there’s my Little Ideas With Love account and my LIWL_Sparkle account. I’ve added the name tag below which you can scan using your phone and it’ll you’ll be able to follow my accounts.

So it’s now time for me to go and put my feet up………well I’ve relaxed most of the day as it is bank holiday lol. I hope you all have an amazing sparkly evening and thank you so much for taking time to read my blog, I really appreciate it.

Take care and stay safe! ❤️?

Instagram

Good evening…….Monday’s seem to be coming round much quicker! I hope you all had a great week and that this week brings you lots of love and sparkle.

So today I want to talk a little about my Instagram account. I know some of you already follow me on there, but for those of you who don’t here’s the direct link so you can head over and follow me https://www.instagram.com/littleideaswithlove/

Over the last few weeks I’ve spent more time over on Instagram and been posting direct from there over to my Facebook business page. I use Instagram lots for my stories, I love stories and I love how I’m able to tell my followers a story of what’s happening at LIWL HQ.

Now my questions tonight are……..do you have Instagram? If so are you following me? Instagrams a great way to advertise your business, now I know I’ve got many customers who also run their own business. If you comment regular on my Instagram account using your business account, it means my followers will start to see you and if they love what you do they’ll head over and follow you. It works totally different to Facebook, Instagram is more for connecting with similar businesses and finding your ideal follower. I also have a personal Instagram account, but I rarely log into it as I want many to find my business account and to connect with me through that one.

‘’Now I have many customers who often tell me they don’t know how to use Instagram, it’s simple…….follow the type of accounts you love. I follow people who have, home accounts, cleaning, meditation, crystals, I also follow a lot of my customers too. I then make sure I connect with those I follow, well I am following for a reason and that’s so my feed is filled with what they are sharing. For years I rarely did much with my Instagram, but last year I started to use it correctly and watched my followers grow. Don’t get me wrong I do lose followers, these tend to be accounts that only follow you if you follow them……big no, no I never do follow for follow, I follow the accounts I actually love and because I want to see what they are posting. I often buy from people who are on Instagram too, I’ve bought off some lovely businesses recently……I’ve actually an order arriving soon, I’ll share on my Instagram stories when it arrives.

I’ve decided to share with you my top tips for Instagram, just in case some of you aren’t sure how it all works……

Use hashtags when sharing a post, these need to be relevant to what you’re sharing, so for example say you’re sharing a post of what you’re melting from me and it’s a wax brittle then you’d use hashtags like these

#liwl

#waxbrittle

#waxaddict

#littleideaswithlove

#smellsamazing

#whatsinyourwarmer

#sherbetlemon (if that’s what you’re melting or whichever scent you’re melting)

#sweetieshop (again if this is the scent range you’re melting)

You can see what hashtags I use and you can select to follow them just like you can follow your favourite accounts, I add hashtags to each post, I now always place them in my comments, as I always share my post direct to my Facebook business page and I don’t want hashtags going on my Facebook post, so adding them after I’ve posted is perfect.
‘Now you’ve gone to share your photo and used some hashtags don’t forget to tag me in your post too, this means I’ll see you’ve done a post that you want me to see, so just use @ sign and then my business name littleideaswithlove it’ll come up as you type it on Instagram.

When commenting on a business post, always use 5 or more words, emojis don’t count and any less than 5 words Instagram don’t count it as a real comment, saying a small sentence shows other followers you’re actually interested in what that accounts just shared. Yes sometimes I may just use a couple of words on someone’s post as it may not need a sentence, but I try and always do over 5 words if I can.

‘Now if you’re accounts set to private, then it means I can’t share any posts you may tag me in, some people prefer a private account and that’s totally fine, but if you’re wanting others to see then you’ll have to have it so everyone can see your profile. Many people open a second account just to share things they want others to see and then keep their personal one private.

When looking at one of my posts, there’s a little arrow, this means you can share it to your stories, sharing to your stories means everyone who follows you will be able to see what you’ve shared of mine, tagging me in your share also means it’ll appear in my inbox and then I can reshare it to my stories too.

You might think it sounds complicated, but trust me it’s not, it’s so much fun once you get to know how to use it properly.

‘’I’m going to start having giveaways on Instagram and these won’t be shared to Facebook, I’m currently planning one as we speak and it’s going to be pretty big, I just need to make sure I word it all correctly so that it works what I’m going to ask my followers to do. I’m hoping over the next 2 weeks I’ll be ready to share what it is, it’s going to be bigger than I’ve done in a long time, but there’ll be things you’ll need to do to be in for a chance of winning and it’ll mean if your accounts set private then I won’t see the steps I’ve asked you to do.

‘I’ll be sharing more about this in my stories over the next week, so be sure to watch out for them. I will also tell people on Facebook about this giveaway, but if they want to enter they’ll need to be on Instagram.

I’ll probably chat again about Instagram on my next blog, as I’ll tell you more about my giveaway too. So be sure to watch out for it all so you don’t miss out.

‘Right I’m off, if you’ve got a question about what I’ve chatted about this evening, please leave a comment and I’ll hopefully be able to answer you.

Stay safe, you’re all doing amazing during this Covid-19 lockdown and hopefully we’ll start to get back to normality very soon.

‘’Love

New products

Happy Monday! Another week gone by, that’s been filled with glorious sunshine……I’ve actually managed to get a tan for once ?❤️ I have to admit, I’ve spent the whole weekend relaxing and it’s been lovely.

So this week I’m launching my new baby vest range, I’ve just put the listing live on my website so you’re the very first to see it before I advertise it on my page. Once I see how this range goes, I may add a few other bits to it, but first I’ll see what my lovely customers think of it. I do love that so many of my customers love my LIWL branded clothing range and it’s lovely to see those who order keep coming back to order more. How cool would it be to maybe one day start seeing lots of customers wearing my clothing range? So I’m guessing you want to know what quotes have been added to my baby vest range? Here’s the direct link for you to take a look https://www.littleideaswithlove.co.uk/product/liwl-baby-vest-2/

I’ve added 3 different colours, as the orders come in I’ll take photos of the pink and blue vests, the styles the same as the white one and the blue and pink are pastel colour, they are really gorgeous. Depending on the colour of vest will depend on the colour the writing will be printed in.

Id just like to thank everyone who reads my Monday blog and also visits the website as every visitor helps my website be seen even more and I’m so grateful to you all.

I hope you all have a sparkly week and please stay safe!

How’s Everyone Doing?

Happy Monday to you all, we made it through yet another week in lockdown, so we’ll done to you all as you’re all doing amazing! How are you doing through this lockdown?

So here in Yorkshire it’s the start of our Easter holidays, I guess this year it’s going to be completely different. Last year me and my youngest went to Euro Disney so totally different Easter this year, maybe we’ll still visit Disney but through our photos and memories and printed where there?

This Easter we did have a few plans and I was going to take just over a week off from work, I guess now that’s changed a little, but I’m still going to take sometime off as I still need a break and still need to have some fun with my family. So instead of going away, we’re going to go to many different places, but through a virtual way via the internet. We’ve decided we can still have as much fun visiting different places without having to leave home. We’ll be also playing out in the garden too. We won’t be leaving home, we have been in for the last 2 weeks as there’s no need for us to leave here.

Over the last 2 weeks a few things have changed here at LIWL HQ these are just temporary changes and once things get back to normal then the few changes I’ve made will go back to normal too. So I’ve dropped posting days down to 2 days a week. Every week day I get a collection from Royal Mail, me and my postman who collects your orders have a good system in place so that we don’t have to be in the same room together when he collects. On the 2 days I post out I leave all your orders in postal bags outside my workshop window, my bar code for my postman is in this window. I also leave the daily paperwork with my post bags outside too. He comes to the window, I wave and shout hello and he scans my barcode and paperwork and takes my parcel bags away with him. We’ve always had a quick chat before, but for now we’ve stopped any contact whatsoever so keep me safe and him safe too. I feel that cutting my postage days down to 2 days a week means it’s better for my postman and me.

So this Friday brings us Good Friday and then Easter Sunday, yes I’ve eaten my egg already I bet you have too? I couldn’t wait, I’ve actually eaten loads of chocolate over the last 2 weeks, I can’t help myself lol. We’ve all actually eaten our eggs and it looks like Easter Sunday we won’t have any, unless when Richard does our shopping (as he’s the one who’s our shopper whilst this is all going on) surprises us and buys more……may just need to add them to the shopping list I’m giving him for tomorrow.

We are all keeping positive, and yes we keep smiling and laughing as it’s how we are getting through this and I’ve always said…..laughters good for the soul ? I’m also aware than many will struggle and as I’ve said before my inbox is always open to anyone, please don’t feel alone as we are all here to help each other get through this sad time.

Keep safe everyone, keep smiling, keep in touch with friends and families via video calling and remember you’re all amazing!

Sending love to everyone!

Birthday Week!

Good evening!

Wow i cant believe how quickly Monday’s come around again! How did you find your first week of home schooling? We did pretty well, no arguments and we’ve actually had lots of fun together and I’ve learnt a few things…..mainly on the maths side. So this week is Alfie’s 12th birthday which is actually tomorrow. I cant believe he’s going to be 12, time flies and with everything thats going on in the world right now its made me realise many things, one being i need to spend more time with my children than what i have been doing, as they don’t stay little for long…….my eldest is 23 later this year!

So as you can all imagine our birthday plans which we had didn’t happen this weekend, Alfie had picked to go to his favourite restaurant in Leeds with his best friend. So I’ve told him that tomorrow he doesn’t need to do any school work (don’t worry he’s done extra today to make up for it) and that we will most likely have a PJ day and watch movies and eat sweets for most of it. We are going to have some quality time together and be grateful for what we have. I’m going to make it a day to remember for him, he’ll remember that his 12th birthday was full of laughter, happiness, video calls to family members and that he was able to still have contact via video calling with his close family. He’ll always remember this day in such a positive way and thats because i’ll make the whole day so special. To anyone who’s reading this who may also have a child’s birthday coming up or maybe your own, i want to wish  you all a happy birthday and to just remind you, its not what you do on your birthday that matters, its how you create happiness and to have those who are close to you around you via the technology of video calling as to me that makes your day so much better. Oh and i forget to add, me and his Dad have bought him a few little treats so he’s something to actually open…….itll have have to be wrapped in my branded wrapping paper though lol as we’ve been unable to go and buy wrapping paper as i felt it wasn’t essential, I’m sure he wont mind though as one of his little gifts is something he’s been asking for, for months. His main present is money as he’s saving up, but he cant have a birthday without a few treats and he did also say to his Dad the other day, ‘if i can have an easter egg on my birthday i’ll be so happy’ so of course we’ve made sure we have one for him.

My Monday blogs over the next coming weeks maybe months will to hopefully reach out to many of you at this difficult time and hopefully spread some positivity and happiness. Im staying very positive, don’t get me wrong theres moments i have when i may feel sad or possibly have a little cry, but then i give gratitude that I’m here with some of my family and that I’m able to keep in touch with other and that i have my health too. I feel the more positive we are, the easier each day is to get through it and we are all in this together and together we can be strong and lift each other up when we feel we are struggling. I’ve learnt a lot about myself over the last week and I’ve also seen how i play a massive part in some peoples lives and that how much my products seem to lift many of you, I’ve received some beautiful messages which have really touched my heart and knowing that when you melt my wax its helping you so much. It makes me happy knowing that I’m able to help you feel better and when i set out to start my business i knew i wanted to make everyone feel happy and of course sparkly too and i feel I’ve achieved that with many of you.

For those who may be reading this that aren’t in my wax group, please head on over and request to join, my members are certainly lifting everyone spirits and it certainly is such a lovely little community I’ve built along with the help of my customers and members too. I want to say a massive thank you for taking time to read my blog this evening and that i hope its helped you in many ways. Please remember…..you’re amazing and together we are strong and we will get through this.

My inbox is always open to anyone of you and i wish you love, health and happiness!

Monday With A Difference

So I know many of you today will have started your Monday so differently to how we did last week……schooling at home? If someone had said to me last month, Rachel in March the country will be teaching their children from home, I’d have thought they were crazy!

I won’t lie, I’ve struggled what to write today with everything that’s going on right now, but one of my customers said something and it reminded me, that even though we are all going through something that’s so tough and it’s effecting everyone, I can still keep my positivity going so here goes………..

So Sunday evening we kept our normal routine, we got up this morning at our normal time……well I did actually let Alfie have a 35 minute lie in, we’ll he’s not school bus to catch today as today is the start of our dinning room becoming his classroom.

We had breakfast, Alfie went for cornflakes, he calls it his pigeon cereal ?, then he went upstairs got washed and changed ready for class starting at 8.30am. He then gave me the news I was dreading…….double geography ?? help I’m rubbish at this! We logged onto the school website and printed off his worksheet, Africa, write 10 facts about famous landmarks………off to make a cup of tea whilst he makes a start lol…..I’m such a lightweight ? actually he worked better than I thought, I had visions of us arguing,  it was so relaxed and enjoyable. He sailed through it and then moved on to English, which he told me he needed no help so I left him too it. He finished that in a breeze and then we decided it was break time and I said he could have a snack so he went for peanut butter on toast. He then had double Spanish, ok I’m like right I think I need another brew ? he did this online, it was a quiz he had to complete and he only got 4 wrong…….pretty impressive I said. We did actually high five, I was so proud of him. He also had to read so he did about 30 minutes and then he had textiles to do, but we decided that we’d do this Tuesday. All in all he worked from 8.30am till 12.30pm and then I said I was happy with what he achieved and that his school day was finished. Now I’m one for education, but in these times we have a head for us to survive schooling we need to be more relaxed as I find he’ll work harder for shorter periods and he was actually happy. I believe it’s better for him to feel happy than to feel stressed. We’re staying positive, we did talk about what’s going on and I’m honest with him and because we are so open, it means he doesn’t worry the same. If you keep a positive mind, trust me each day will feel easier and also enjoy your time around your loved ones as how often do we actually spend so much time with them?

In between Alfie learning I was still running my business, ordering supplies, keeping track of what the government guide lines are and if any had changed and also keeping my mindset sparkly. If you’re reading this and you are a parent, or maybe a business owner or caring for family, remember you’re not alone and that we are all in this together and we will all lift each other up. I’ve got a lovely wax group and each day I’m going live to help keep spirits up, it’s a place you can chat, ask questions or just need support from someone. I have a group of my ladies who asked me to set up a group messenger chat, they are sharing what they are doing , sharing ideas what to do with their kids and in general just keeping spirits high.

The suns been shinning today so this afternoon we went for a walk, we live rural so we’re able to go for a nice walk just on our land and we picked daffodils and we rescued a blackbird that was stuck in our Polly tunnel and just couldn’t find out how to get out, we watched a squirrel running across the field and we listened to the birds singing to each other.

I can honestly say hand on heart our first day of being home and schooling was lovely, I learned things from Alfie I didn’t no and he learnt things from me too. We ordered supplies from amazon for some lessons we have to do, books school had recommended.

Today we’ve laughed, smiled and enjoyed our day together and tomorrow we’re starting our day doing the PE workout with Joe on YouTube as Alfie would normally have PE. We’ve had fun and I feel right now it’s more about having fun than being too strict, everyday we’ll do our learning, but we’ll have a relaxed approach to this so that everyday Alfie will enjoy it rather than feeling it’s a chore.

If you need someone to talk to, pop over to my wax group on Facebook, please don’t be alone and  remember………keep sparkling!

New Range

Good evening!

Wow is it Monday already? Where does the time go? So as many of you will know, this last week has seen my new range of branded clothing being added to the website……if you’ve not seen it then i’d love for you to go and take a  quick look as feed backs started to come in and it’s been truly amazing. If you’ve grabbed something from this range and had delivery and not yet left a review on your purchase then please do as this really does help those who haven’t ordered from me before buy with ease. To leave a review, just log into your account and then go into your purchases, you can only review the products you’ve actually purchased.

It’s been lovely seeing a mixture of my quotes purchased and seeing what everyone loves, some i did wonder if they would sell as they have part of a swear word, but these have been very popular which is amazing! I have used a * in the middle of the swear word, so that it doesn’t stand out as much as I’m also thinking of little ones too that they may read these on mummies top. This range is not available in my children’s range, which i already know you’ll know this, but i just like to make 100% sure everyone’s aware it’s not.

Every top that’s offered on my website is designed and printed here at LIWL HQ by me, i felt it was important to keep this with me printing it, so for months and months i tested different ranges of clothing and practiced heat pressing quotes on the tops, believe me when i say I’ve tested its never quick, i like to make sure I’m 110% happy with what i make before every launching it to my customers. Its very important to me and I’m forever doing many tests on all different products as its part of my everyday work life and its how I’ve grown over the years too. My branded t-shirt range is for quotes i love and what mean something to me too, i don’t do bespoke orders, this is just purely my own range. You can purchase different style t-shirts, I’ve tried to aim for all shapes and sizes as much as possible, if you don’t see your size then feel free to message me and i’ll see if i can accommodated you. I also do a children’s t-shirt this goes from age 3- 15 years, again if you require a smaller size then message me and I’ll see what i can do. I also offer an adults hoodie in my range and again if you required one for a child then again please message me and i can see what i can do.

We offer the colours, black, white, green and heather grey in some styles, but not all ranges and hoodies you can get these in green and black. From time to time i may do a limited edition top, this will be shared on my business page if and when i do.

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that take time to read my Monday blog and to those who also leave a comment too, thank you as this helps me be seen so much more and i can’t thank you enough for this. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this weeks blog and i hope you have an amazing sparkly Monday evening!

Lots of love
