Luxury Candles

Luxury Candles

Luxury Candles – on Friday you saw the launch of my candle range and the response was overwhelming. I released 3 scents, these were Nenico, Amethyst Rose & Citronella. How it worked they were placed on the website as pre-orders. This is because all my candles are made to order. This means once you’ve ordered it takes up to 2 weeks to despatch your candle. Candles are made the following day after order cut off has finished. Candles need time to cure so that the fragrance oils bind with the wax, giving you a candle that’s pure luxury.

Whens the next release? –

There’ll be another release on Wednesday 28th July. The listing again will stay open for 48 hours like last time unless I sell out before 48 hours.

What scents are being added?

So I have got some in mind, but I thought why not see what’s most popular with you guys. So I’ll be picking 3 scents now I have a definite one which is…

Pink Sugar

then you can help me pick 2 from the following scents….

Citronella

Myrrh & Tonka

Filthy Gorgeous

Apple & Jasmin

Be sure to comment on this blog with your votes and then I’ll announce which 3 have been selected. I’m constantly testing many fragrances as the testing process takes time. So I’m currently testing Christmas scents as these will be released by the end of September beginning of October. Can you actually believe I’m almost ready to release Christmas scents?

Im excited for those who grabbed a candle on launch night to receive them. Monday I poured everyone’s orders and now they are curing in the workshop. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on my social media as I’ll be sharing photos of them all. I honestly can’t wait for everyone to receive them and hear the feedback from you all.

Be sure to watch out for my next blog. I’ll be updating them each week probably in a Monday or Tuesday. It’s a great way for me to be able to stay in touch with those of you how regularly visit my website.

Keeping in touch

Keeping in touch

Keeping in touch! There’s so many ways to keep in touch with what’s happing within my business. As social media platforms are becoming harder to be seen on, there’s many other ways we can keep in touch.

Here’s a few ways you can still see what I’m doing.

Newsletter, be sure to be signed up for this. If you’re already signed up, be sure to read them so you don’t miss out.

Whatsapp broadcast group. An amazing way for me to stay in touch with my customers. It’s a safe group, everyone who’s in my broadcast group, members can’t see others details or messages it’s completely safe. It just means I can send one text message to everyone who’s in my group, if you reply to my message, only I can see it. I’m finding more and more people are disconnecting from using social media and preferring messages via broadcast groups. Have you asked to join mine? I have a few different groups, VIP Subscription, Wax Club Members and also Customers.

My website blog! Sharing at least 3-4 blogs per month via my website helps me to be seen. My customers can interact on my blog posts. They can ask questions as I’ll always reply. I’ll always try and reply to all comments on a blog within 72 hours of posting it. Be sure to check back a few days later.

Google Business. I can share photos on this platform, it also shows me how many views each photos had. Customers can leave reviews and also post a photo too, which helps massively because new potential customers rely on google reviews before they make that purchase. If you’ve not left a review already, I’d really appreciate it if you could.

Pinterest. I love this platform and I do get many re-pins from some of my videos. I do t use this daily, but do like to update it once or twice a month.

I’ll always keep posting on Facebook and Instagram too, but I just wanted to share the other ways you can keep in touch with me.

New Candle Range Coming Soon!

New Candle Range Coming Soon!

New candle range coming soon! Over the last few days on my social media platform, I’ve been sharing about my new soy candle range.  Each day I’ve shared information to talk about how it all happens. I’m excited after just over 4 years I’ve decided to bring my candle range back.

Finding the perfect wick

Finding the perfect wick doesn’t just happen instantly. There’s many factors to take in when selecting your wick and lots of testing too. I’ve made candles in the past and mainly always went for wooden wick, but this time I wanted my whole range to be made with cotton wicks. So the testing process started around 8 weeks ago to find the perfect wick. I’m lucky as I’ve made candles in the past so finding that perfect wick and size is a little bit easier.

Selecting the perfect candle glass

Now finding your candle glass is just the same of finding your perfect wick. Every glass shape and size needs testing and again this process takes time. I’m really happy with the glass I’ve gone for and I can’t wait to show you too. My candle net weight is going to be 120g , now i May along the way test a bigger size. For now I’m sticking to just the one size.

Selecting the fragrance

Now another test which takes time as each scent needs testing and it doesn’t mean one wick size fits all as it doesn’t work like that. This is where most of the testing comes in and takes time and can’t be rushed. I’ve tested 5 fragrances which have passed so far these are…..

Myrrh & Tonka

Pink Sugar

Nenico

Filthy Gorgeous

Citronella

So 5 have been fully tested and made my list, but not all 5 will be up for grabs. More about that later on my business page, you just need to make sure that you’re interacting on my social media so you don’t miss out. I’m also currently testing another 6 fragrances, I won’t share these yet as it doesn’t mean all 6 will make it. This is why I test because it’s so important plus no testing means you won’t produce an excellent product!

Difference between scent throw in candles to wax melts

So many of you are already addicted to my wax products. Now wax melts will always give off a stronger scent throw than a candle. Candles are more subtle because the flame only heats whats melted around the pool inside the glass. Whereas in a burner the tea lights heating the whole bowl of the tea light warmer which gets hotter, then giving off a good scent throw. You will be able to smell the scent of the candle you’re burning, but it won’t fill your whole room. Candles are more for a relaxing mood, for cosy nights in.

How to care for your candle

All our candles have been hand-poured with love using soy wax and fragrance oils. Our candle glasses and boxes are recyclable.

We do strongly urge you to follow all our care and safety precautions outlined below, which have been put in place to ensure that you get the very best from your candle.

  • Don’t leave the candle burning unattended. Place on a heat proof mat to protect your surface.
  • To prevent tunnelling please make sure you burn your candle for minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 hours at anyone time.
  • Always keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire.
  • Do not place candles in a draught.
  • Once extinguished please make sure the wick is stood up right ready for when you next light it.
  • Trim wick down to 5mm before lighting at each use.
  • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. We strongly recommend leaving at least 5mm of wax in the jar.
  • Keep the wax pool clear and free of any debris to avoid flaring.
  • You can find further safety instructions on the base of all of our candles along with the scent name. For any queries, or anything you may be unsure about, please do get in touch!

How you can help new potential customers by leaving me a review

How you can help new potential customers by leaving me a review – I’m sure many of you are like me, whenever I go onto somebodies website the first thing I look for is customer reviews, I also look to see if they have google or trust pilot reviews too. This shows me what the businesses customers think of their products and to me thats so important and is one of the main reasons I’m most possibly likely to order from them. Now my customers can leave reviews on a few different platforms, they can review their purchases on the website by logging into their account and reviewing their past orders. I’ve also got google business, this platforms amazing and so many people view through google business and the reviews on their from customers really help so much. My other platform is facebook, on my business page you can leave a review by recommending me. Small businesses like myself really do reply on our customers to leave reviews and I often remind my customers and ask if they would mind leaving reviews. I recently set up google business, you send off your details to google and once they’ve verified that your business address is correct you’re then set to go. So with it being all new I haven’t very many review on there as of yet, so this is where all my customers come in. If you’ve ever purchased off me and would like to leave me one, please head on over to https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=little+ideas+with+love&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 where you’ll be able to leave one. You do need a google account to do this and I also take time to reply to everyone who does leave me one as I find it really important for me to acknowledge my customers who take time out to leave a review. Customers can also share a photo on their of their delivery or maybe what they are melting.

I’ve lately been reviewing many purchases I’ve made, as I know how important it is. It takes minutes to leave a review. Reviews are always something I’ll ask my customers to leave and sometimes I might always be asking in my facebook group for them to leave one. If I don’t remind customers we can sometimes just forget, I know I do sometimes, but I always try my very best to review any purchase I get now within days of receiving it.

Reviews have the power to gain a potential customers trust and they can also encourage people to interact with me as a business, they find that when customers review and see the business owner replies too they can see they are far more approachable. I’ll always reply to every review thats done via google, I do sometimes reply to reviews on the website, but not every single one, but I’ll always try and reply to comments that have been left on my blog.

Customers are more likely to purchase from a website where customers have reviewed products, a customer might comment on the fragrance of a scent that they love or maybe dislike, but that could help someone who’s unsure as to if they purchase it or not. Also products like my reed diffusers when customers leave reviews about how they last so long and the quality is amazing, if i read these following reviews on a website, these reviews would sell that product to me at a drop of a hat…….

Wai-Ling Bennett (verified owner)

These bottles are very robust yet classy, not likely to tip over, even with the reeds in. I have tried loads of reed diffusers in the past and Rachel’s diffusers have surpassed them all. I have Snow Fairies, Apple & Fig, No More Dirty Laundry, Rhubie Rosie and Frankincense and Black Cherry diffusers and I can honestly say they are all lush and smell divine. These are handy in the bathrooms and kids’ rooms where I am unable to use electric burners. I have had some of these going for over a month now and they look like they will last months as the liquids have hardly gone down on some of them! My house smells amazing and it’s lovely smelling the different scents as I go from one room to another, thank you Rachel for another great product! x

krystaldeeming (verified owner)

I have purchased so many diffusers in the past and these are BY FAR the best! Well worth the extra pennies! I have 8 of these (addicted) – one is still half full since September (5 months ago). X

Charlieplummer (verified owner)

I’ve had many many reed diffusers over the years from LIWL and they have ALL been absolutely gorgeous. Luxury quality reeds and the throw off them is insane! I’m often being complimented on all the lovely smells in my house and it’s all from the reed diffusers xx

roseena (verified owner)

I have the rhubie rosie diffuser in my porch way every time someone comes they all say ‘what a lovely smell’ a lovely fresh strong scent highly recommend

Sarah (verified owner)

They are simply stunning. I bought Frankincense and black cherry and Lemon curd. Both smell true to their name sakes and are great value for money as the quality is amazing and they last!

Did you know that over 80% of people said that positive reviewswould encourage them to purchase a product? So please always give every business you purchase from a thought and always review the products you bought, you’ll help us all massively!

Enjoy your evening!

Love

Rachel….x

New Products

7 Chakra Soy Wax

Good morning!

I’m sure some of you may have seen that on Boxing Day i released a new product which was, 7 Chakra Soy Wax Discs. These flew out which I did have a feeling they would, but don’t worry as each month more will be released. How it will work is once a month, i’ll put the listing live, only a selected amount will be released and each month they’ll be made in a different scent. For December i went for my new scent Amethyst Rose, this was a scent that was in the December subscription box and one i truly love. I’ve had this scent specially made by a chemist i often use for many of my exclusive scents. I’ll be sharing more about the Chakra’s next month and will do a live on my business page all about them, so hopefully many of you will get to watch me and I can hopefully answer some of your questions.

Another product I shared wasn’t new, but I had picked a new packaging for them and this is my carpet freshener which now you can purchase in 2 different packaging options. The new kraft shaker ive picked is just perfect and works really well with my product. The packaging is also biodegradable and as many of you already know I switched my plastic pod packaging a few years ago to compostable packaging as I really wanted to cut out plastic as much as I possibly could. I’ll always try and make many changes lie these as I really do care about our environment and if it means i can cut as much plastic out as I possibly can it’ll then have a big impact on how little plastic my customers use when buying my products.

I’d also just like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for all your continued support and custom. It’s been a year that none of us could have ever predicted and a tough year, but I’m hoping 2021 will start to see things getting back to normality. We’ve still along way to go, but i know we will get there and I’m so grateful to everyone who’s stuck by me in these hard times.

I hope you all have a beautiful sparkly day and…….happy melting!

Love Rachel…..x

Christmas Closing Times

I actually can’t believe its December and Christmas is almost upon us….this years flown, but im glad in a way as its been an extremely hard year not seeing friends and family. So today i thought id just go over my Christmas closing times again as i know not al my customers are on social media.

I’ll be locking my workshop doors on Tuesday 15th December 2020 and will be reopening them on Wednesday 6th January 2021. During this time whilst im closed one of the weeks will be used to do a full stock take and also make wax ready for reopening in January. I always run my stock levels down on the run unto Christmas so i can start a fresh in the new year. My website will remain open whilst im closed, but no orders will be despatched during the times ive stated about and then once i return orders will start to be despatched in order they arrived. Please give it at least 6 working days from me first day of opening for your orders to be despatched. Once we get into January i’ll start to add my clothing range back to stock, ive taken this off now as many of my suppliers are getting ready to close and also i wouldn’t have the time to print clothing up just before closing. Clothings been a great success since starting it this year and its so lovely to see many of you loving my brand.

I’ll be sharing posts on social media whilst I’m closed and keeping my groups active too, but I’ll also be taking some much needed time off. I’ve not really had anytime off this year with COVID and as like many of you not even been able to get away for a few days. I plan to really enjoy my Christmas, feet up, lots to eat, family time on Christmas Day and just to sit back and be grateful that we’ve got through this year.

Im hoping to get back into wring regular blogs as I’ve found having time off social media is good, it gives you time to think about what’s happening next with your business, gives you time to rest as social media detox is good for you, so I’ll be connecting with my customers through blogs, broadcasts etc.

You too can stay connected with me by commenting on my blogs and I’ll always read every comment and reply to you too, so it’s always good to check back a few days later.

Right I’m off to enjoy my evening, thank you to everyone who’s taken time to read my blog, to everyone who’s supported me through 2020 I’m so grateful to you all.

Goodnight! x

Reviewing your purchases

Reviewing your purchases

Good evening!

I hope you’re all well. This evening i just want to talk about reviewing your purchases . If you’re like me when I’m buying from a website I always checkout the reviews on products. Looking at others reviews good or bad gives me an insight into what people think overall of a product. So this is where you come in. As a customer I’d really appreciate it if when you buy off the website you review your purchase. Honest opinions as thats what counts, reviews help my website massively and help new potential customers also buy with ease.

If i was going to buy say a reed diffuser off my site and id never come across this website before. I’d look at the review section and saw many customers of LIWL leaving reviews about how long they last, how they are packaged, maybe customer service etc, it would make me feel more at ease buying for the very first time. Because its all to do with fragrance, every customer who buys from me needs to go off recommendations and reviews to help them decide what fragrances to select. This is why its so important for you all to review each time you buy, now you can only review if you’ve set up an account and not checked out as a guest, so if this is something you wish to do in the future then please make sure you check out creating an account.

Now for those who start reviewing their whole order of what they’ve purchased I’m going to be sending over 5% discount codes for you to use off your next purchase. Also for everyone who leaves a comment on this blog today 28/9/2020 im also going to give a 5% discount code to use off your next purchase. Terms and conditions apply.  Now it only every lets you review your product the once, well it use to do, maybe its changed over the years im not 100% sure, but feel free to let me know if im right or wrong.

Last day of the month!

Can you actually believe it’s the last day of August? Seriously this year has flown by, considering I for one thought it would go really slow.  September as not only is my birthday, it means we are so close to new scents being released. Keep your eyes well and truly peeled so that you don’t miss anything!

This bank holiday I’ve had a little something on that if you purchase between 28th-31st August 2020. Everyone’s name gets added to the prize draw and one customer will win a little something. It ends tonight at midnight and there’s no minimum spend. As long as you pay using SAGE PAY as this is the correct method for every day orders. I’ll draw the winner on Tuesday and make an announcement on my page and the prize will just be added to the winning customers order.

Now i know many of you will be heading back to work after the summer break and many children will be returning to school. Alfie he’s got just over a week left before he returns. I’m looking forward to him going back as i know he’s missed his friends. I think a little bit of routine will be good for him. I will miss him as in the last 5 1/2 months whilst he’s been at home. He adapted to new school life and its been so lovely having him around, but I just want him to be around friends now and enjoy seeing them all.

Over the next coming weeks i’ll have lots to share via my blog, its something now thats become a habit to write a blog weekly and i love seeing comments from customers after they’ve read it. If you do read it and never leave a comment on it, please do as I always reply to everyone who leaves a comment.

I’m going to head off now as its 1.30pm and I’m heading back to my workshop for just another hour, setting up ready for being back at work Tuesday.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend and…….happy melting! https://www.littleideaswithlove.co.uk

Last break of the summer

Hey, hey, hey!

My last break of the summer I decided to break my last holiday up and split my weeks. I can’t believe where this years gone already and that from next month I’ll be on with Christmas…..yep I’ve said it! 🙈

Over the last 5 months it’s been so lovely seeing so many of you reading my weekly blog. I am going to keep them short and sweet so that it encourages more people to read them. I how busy everyone is and sometimes we just don’t get 10 minutes to read let alone sit down.

I’m hoping each week I’ll be able to share with you what’s new and what’s coming up. I’ve so much to share with you for Christmas. Don’t forget I’ll have my LIWL 9 Day’s Of Christmas Advent Calendar. I will talk about in a few weeks time. My Christmas and Autumn scents, again will share later in September. I’ll be laughing a new gift box, where you’ll be able to select what you’d like inside. Plus you may find a themed box coming up soon too……..all I can say is keep your eyes peeled!

Making sure you’re using the correct wax burner

https://www.littleideaswithlove.co.uk/product-category/burners/

It’s so important to me as a wax vendor to remind my customers and followers the safety about using the correct type of wax burner to melt my scented wax in or even anyother business who sells scented wax products too. Please take your time to read my blog as there’s some very important information I’m going to share with you.

So as a seller of tea light and electric warmers, it’s up to me as a seller to make sure the burners I buy in are legally tested to melt wax products. Now every type of burner I sell has been tested and approved to use wax products in, now there’s different types of burners you can buy and this is where you need to be very careful if buying from other shops, online or at markets. You’ll see you can purchase wax warmers or oil burners online and in different stores. Now oil burners are for using for aromatherapy oils, they are not suitable for using wax in, if the burner is suitable for both it’ll say in the description wax/oil burner, if it just says oil please do not use wax in these. Wax heats up at a higher temperature than the oils, if that manufacturer has only tested their burners using oils, then it’s not classed safe to use wax in them. You’ll never see me sell just oil burners, if a burner I sell is suitable for both and has been tested for both I’ll state this on my website. I tend to stick to burners that have just been tested for use for wax, it stops the confusion and then my customers know if they buy a burner for me it’s just for wax products only.

Over the last few weeks on Facebook I’ve seen some shocking photos of people in groups (not mine and none of my customers) showing burners that have over heated when using wax in them and it all boils down to they’ve bought oil burners. I don’t want to scare anyone, but I feel it’s for me to educate my customers why I always say wax warmer on my clp products and website. An oil burner has been tested for aromatherapy oils only, you’ll find some burner’s very cheap question why, if it’s small question why, look at the legal labelling that you’ll find on the bottom of all burners. I’d never personally buy a burner that’s cost £1 it’s more than likely not been tested for wax and in some cases you’ll find it’s probably not been tested at all, believe me good quality burners aren’t cheap to buy for either me the supplier and you the customer, but they are affordable.  I’d hate for one of my customers to use the wrong type and if buying one of my burners you know they have been tested for wax products, they are safe, yes they may be a little more expensive, but this is because they’ve been tested correctly and all CE approved.

Also tea light warmers another important thing I have to share with you all is never use a tea lights that burns  for any longer than 4 hours, any longer than this can cause any warmer to over heat, it’s too long and this is why I always state never melt for longer than 4 hours at anyone time. Melting for more than 4 hours will cause the burner to start over heating, in time it can cause hairline cracks and then eventually crack, you honestly don’t want that to happen as it’s dangerous. If you follow my guidelines at all times you’ll always keep safe and use products the correct way. There’s many burners out there that are suitable for wax, you don’t have to buy one of mine, but all I say is do your research make sure it’s a wax warmer and you’ll be fine as long as you always use your warmers correctly. When using tea lights, NEVER stack one tea light on top of another, I’ve seen this before and it’s DANGEROUS it’s too close to the bowl and will cause it to over heat.

If you are in doubt and there’s a burner you’re after purchasing even if it’s some another wax vendors online store,  feel free to message me with a photo and I might be able to advise you. Sometimes I won’t be able to as it’s not what they always look like, but you as a customer are within your rights to ask businesses that are selling these products if they have been tested for wax. Never feel like you can’t ask businesses questions about the products they are selling as you’ve all got the right to ask questions and any business should be more than happy to answer your questions too.

Just before I go always remember when changing the wax from your wax warmer, never use a knife to remove it as you’ll scratch the bowl of the burner and in time this could cause it to break. Never put your burner in the freezer, I can’t believe people do this as again it’s dangerous. The best way to clean your burner is, turn it on for electric or light a tea light and as the bowl starts to warm you’ll be able to remove the wax using kitchen roll it’ll just scoop out if you catch it just as it’s starting to warm. If you’re cleaning it when all the wax is melted just soak up the wax using kitchen roll. Any old wax just wrap and pop in your house hold bin, never pour wax down your drain this will cause your drain to block.

I hope you’ve all taken a little bit more knowledge from this weeks blog, I like to talk about safety often as my priority is to make sure I keep you all safe.

Have a sparkly evening and…….happy melting!
