A few changes here at LIWL

Good evening and happy Monday! Again the week has flown by and I can’t believe we’re almost in July……where has this year gone? I did think with being in lock down the weeks would feel slow and that it would be hard, but I feel every week has flown by and it doesn’t seem 2 mins ago since we first heard the words lockdown.

Anyway, this evening I’ve a few things I wish to chat to you about, which I feel are important, so make sure you read to the very end. So first I want to talk to you about my working week……….

So as many of us are in the same situation, children at home, helping them learn and do school work, not being able to see people or go places like how we use too, it’s really made me think…….well we’ve all had a lot of thinking time lately! I’ve felt since lockdown I’ve had to change my work around, to fit in with my youngest, to make sure I’m here if he needs help with his school work and to be here as a mum too. So whilst he’s been doing school work I’ve been keeping myself busy in the house…..mainly the kitchen and I’ve refound my love for cooking. Now I’ve always loved cooking, but running a busy successful business, you don’t always have the time to do much and your hours can be a little all over, especially when you work from home, so when Alfie is normally out at school I tend to work 8am-4pm so that it doesn’t interfere with him being at home as I make sure I work the hours he’s out at school, then weekends off. So as he walked down the drive I’d close my workshop up and head to the house with him. We’d sit and chat and then he’d go off and do his own thing whilst I cooked tea. Now I still cooked good meals, but not as good as what I’m doing now since lockdown and cooking makes me happy. I’ve also found ive had more quality time with both Alfie and his dad and that we’ve become closer as a family. It’s also made me realise we only get one life and to grab it and take full advantage of the time we have together. So I’ve decided that even though I love what I do and love my business, it’s time to do more with my family and run my business part time. So my new working days will be 4 days each week, my day off in the week will change as I’ll fit it around my life and also around my times I know I need to be in work ie Subscription realise day. So as I work 4 days a week one day a week I’ll have to spend time in the house, catching up on jobs, shopping, cooking and baking. I’ll also have weekends off, unless I feel I need to work, but my days will always be a 4 day week. My working hours once Alfie’s back at school will then be 8-3pm at the moment I don’t have set hours due to Alfie being home so I just work when I can at the moment, but I still work a fair amount of hours and it’s not effected dispatch times either. Currently I’ve extended my dispatch times to 10 working days, clothing is 3-4 weeks. Once Alfie’s back at school my dispatch times will go back to 6 working days. Now in order to keep on top as I’m still currently working alone until Annie can return to work, it means my scent list will shrink. I’ve been slowly cutting my list down since the start of this year and will carry on and next week in my blog I’m going to share what scents will be coming to an end. Sometimes some go on holiday, but in my blog I’ll state if it’s having a holiday or ending forever. I love what I do and I’ll carry on running my business until I retire, so you’re stuck with me for a very long time, but I feel I can still offer you all so much, yet also have some time to myself and to spend with my family too.

So next I’ve got to tell you is larger wax crumbs in tins. Now the tins are for a limited time only as I may switch to larger jars rather than tins along with my mini jars I already offer. Now the mini jars have roughly the same amount of wax in them as a wax pod does and the larger tins have around the same as what a bag of brittle weighs. Now I don’t put weights on my products as I weigh everything with a trade approved scale, which means I can legally display weights, but because my products are hand poured weights can slightly vary by a gram or two plus how your scales weigh at home aren’t as precise as trade approved ones so I choose not to display them, as of a customer was to weigh using their scales the weight would be different to mine, but on average a wax pod will weigh without it’s packaging approximately  40-44g and a bag of brittle will weigh approximately 90-95g. Again everyone will slightly vary as they are hand poured, but this is just to give you an example.
Now I will be adding a few scents to the original listing of wax crumbs later this evening, so you’ll need to watch out for this post and not every scent will be available so the list will change often, so all I can suggest if you want crumbs and see them in one of your favourite scents, grab it as it could be a long time before it’s back in crumbs.

Now don’t forget, to keep update make sure you read my blog each week, I’ll be talking more about things that are happening on here and this will be your only way of knowing….unless one of my customers gets excited and shares the news in my group……but do you really want to maybe miss out or will you be like many others and read my blog each week? I know what I’d do…….😍

So if you a leave a comment I’ll reply, I do go through many on an evening so be sure to check back to see if I’ve responded. I hope you’ve all enjoyed reading my blog and I just want to thank you for all your continued support, I’m so grateful to each and everyone of you.

Take care and stay safe!

Some Monday’s just start off differently!

Little Ideas with Love

So here we are again, it’s time for my Monday blog. I thought I’d share with you my day, sometimes it’s nice to share what’s happened and also share with everyone that my days sometimes go wrong just like yours might sometimes.

So I was up super early as I knew I had a busy day ahead as I wanted to get out all of my subscription boxes, there’s a lot each month over 80! So I got up and as I got out of bed my mobile phone fell off the bed onto my foot….ouch it bloody hurt and I’ve a great big bruise to prove it. After hobbling downstairs to make breakfast for me and Alfie I then realised Richard had taken my car to work to give it a run and had forgotten I’d got to take one of the dogs to the dog groomers 🤣🙈 men……they are so hard work sometimes lol. Good job she’s local who I use, but even heading out it takes 40 minutes out of my day to take her and get back with walking and then another 40 mins to collect her and come back and when you’ve over 80 subscription boxes to get packed up and shipping labels to add before 2pm it’s not good. Luckily I was able to ring Annie and she came to collect her for me, we did social distancing just as my dog groomer also did when she took Bailey from Annie, but I was stuck and I needed help. For those of you who are unsure who Annie is, she’s my friend but also works for me in the workshop, but is currently furloughed and hopefully due back next month. Honestly if she hadn’t have collected Bailey there’s no way I’d have been able to start on my subscription boxes. It was strange seeing her as were both huggers, and it was strange not being able to hug her. I’ve missed hugging people as I always hug everyone, I’ve not really seen people during lockdown as I’ve only left the house twice since March, but it’s hard knowing you can’t hug anyone and I know some people find it easy, but when you’re a big hugger it hurts that you can’t, but hey I’m sure one day we’ll be able to hug again and if not I’m coming up with an invention to protect people when they want to hug someone lol.

So anyway where was I? Oh yes, so after my foot injury I then set Alfie up with his school work and I went in the workshop, I was in there before 8am knowing I’d lots to do. I made up all the boxes first and then part close them so that when I put each thank you note in, I just slide it in the top and then add the postage label. I do the postage labels in the house, went to switch the little postage label printer on, nothing happened! Looked at the back no lead plugged in and no where to be seen, quickly rang Richard and he thought it may have come out of the printer when he was sorting the CCTV wires out, after a rummage  behind my work desk I found it. Right time to get on, nope my label printer wanted to play funny buggers and then the Royal Mail back office was playing up, it seemed to be going on a go slow. So this process took me until 11.45am to finish, nearly 3 hours, it’s the longest it’s ever taken, but yes I’ve more subscriptions to do, but all the messing about made it take longer. I’d not had a drink all morning, so I quickly made one and a sandwich for both me and Alfie as I knew once I went back in the workshop I had till 2pm to get all these postage labels on, notes added and all boxes taped up and sealed. Normally both me and Annie do this together, but until shes back at work it’s just me. Every order I double check the address is correct, all address have 2 checks, some customers often change their shipping address, even more since lockdown as many haven’t been going out to work and have worked from home, so I need to make sure everyone’s address matches what’s on their order. I’m pleased to say I did it with 15 minutes spare, I worked my little socks off as I wanted to get everyones out so they can start to enjoy their boxes this week. Baring in mind I’ve done all this with a bruised foot that has given me trouble all morning, checking in on Alfie every 20 minutes and then helping him if he was stuck with everything. I sometimes wonder how I do it, but I sometimes don’t even know myself lol. Let’s just say this evening I’m relaxing as I won’t lie I’m tired and my head hurts as it’s been a stressful day with so many different things not going right, but hey……..tomorrows a new day!

In between all of the above I was also chasing a parcel that had been lost from my vinyl supplier, which actually turned up, it had been sat at DPD warehouse since the 1st June, they decided my address didn’t exist, which means it was a driver who doesn’t know the area and instead of ringing my number which is always displayed on the label and asking me to direct them in, they say my address is wrong, it’s normally the blue DPD hub who have trouble as I find they have many stand in drivers who never know the area, but it left me with a missing order and a backlog of T-shirt orders piling up with my new sparkly glitter text on them. Good news is I’ve got it now so this week I’ll finish those orders off. I have changed dispatch times for clothing, it’s now 3-4 weeks, yes it seems a long time, but if I don’t have your size in stock it needs ordering in, I only order every 7-10 days, then the T-shirts have to arrive with me and then I’ve to print them up. The printing is done here by myself, and as you’re already aware I’m working alone so it takes me longer to do each job as well as run my social media and reply to customers too. I honestly can’t wait to get back to normal and have Annie back, it’s hard doing all the jobs she normally does and it’s lonely on my own without her. I’ve always appreciated Annie and everything she does, but I appreciate her even more now as she’s a massive part of my team and the jobs she does she does them amazingly and she takes a lot of pressure off me leaving me to concentrate on my customers orders and making stock.

So I’m going to wrap this blog up now, but just remember………we all have days that go wrong, we might scream, shout or cry, but that’s fine as nobodies perfect and it’s good to release upset if things don’t go the way you’re hoping they had, but remember……tomorrow’s a new day and tomorrow you’ll shine brighter than you did today.

Im going to relax this evening and have an early night, ready for a new day tomorrow.

Thank you for taking time to read this weeks blog, keep smiling and remember you’re all amazing.

Stay safe!

Update on what’s happening during lockdown

Good evening!

Slight change to what I was going to write about as I thought with the recent update from Boris I’d be better sharing what’s happening here at LIWL HQ.

So as of 11th May 2020 I’ll still be following guidelines of social distancing and posting out just a couple of times each week. My reason behind this is I’m still having to work alone, I haven’t the foot space to be able to keep a 2 meter distant exit in my workshop so it would be classed as unsafe for my staff. Because I’m having to work alone this means I have to do all the work myself which is taking longer as I’ve no one to help me. I’m working Monday to Friday but shorter days, this is also due to having Alfie home and I need to spend time with him whilst he does his school work, he’s doing very well with this too. I actually admire anyone who home schools full time, it’s not easy especially when you’re running a business and also have a household to look after too.

Parcels are packed daily, but not sent out each day as I like to collect these until I’ve got many packed up so that it makes it easier for my postman who collects from me. We as always are keeping our distance and we have a system in place that we don’t have to be near each other when he collects as it’s all left outside the workshop along with his paperwork. We just have a little wave and say hello through the window, it seems strange still, but it’s keeping us both safe.

Ive also turned off collection until September, I’ve done this as I feel that it’s safer to not allow customers to collect until we know it’s much safer and also because I’m working alone it’s not as easy to offer collection due to my working hours being all over the place as I don’t have set times at the money I just grab some work hours as and when I can fit them in around family life. Collections will start up again, but at the moment I’m unable to say when.

As some of you may have seen, my scent list has got smaller over the last 2 months, this is due to everything that’s happening, also some scents have gone on holiday and will come back and also helps me as a smaller scent list I can manage to make stock easier whilst working alone. Some scents will be matched to seasons, which I’m slowly starting to sort out. So for example, today Snow Fairies was taken off my scent list, this is because it’s going to be an autumn/winter scent and I decided to do it today as all stock on the website had sold of this in wax so it’s a perfect time to end it until later in the year. It’s good to keep scent lists moving and changing as then it gives you far more of a variety, there’ll be a lot more changes this month with my scent list as stock runs out, which I’ll keep you all updated on.

Customers who are wanting to add to orders, I’m still able to do this, but if you wish to add you must do this before I start to pack your current order up. You’ll need to message my Facebook/Instagram business page along with your order number and what you’d like to add to it, then I’ll give you instruction on how to do this if this is at all possible. I’m unable to hold onto orders so please make sure you contact me as soon as you think you’d like to add to them. Orders are taking longer to process at the moment and they can take up to 10 working days before they are due to be packed up and then they’ll go on my next collection date. Once your order leaves me Royal Mail will deliver your parcel, but please give it at least 15 working days before you contact me if it’s not arrived. We’ve extended this as Royal Mail are experimenting high volume of parcels and taking longer to deliver, which is very unstandable at this moment in time. They’ve been really amazing though and are getting most orders delivered within 6 days of collecting them from me, sometimes quicker depending on your area and your sorting office.

Now last week I talked about Instagram and this week I’ll be  having an Instagram giveaway. You’ll need to watch out for this as it’ll be posted to my newsfeed, but the giveaway won’t be posted on Facebook, I will mention it on Facebook, but you’ll need to be on Instagram to be able to enter. As always there’ll be rules, so you must make sure you follow them all to be in for a chance of winning. It’s been lovely seeing a few of you interacting on my Instagram and sharing pictures to your stories and tagging me, be sure to keep doing this as it helps me to be seen even more and I’ve had a few more followers this week too. On weekends you’ll find me over on Instagram more, I do all my posting to Facebook from Instagram and then have a quick look through and check my inbox and then jump off. If you’ve not tried Instagram do, it’s really lovely and I find lots of amazing accounts via Instagram and I’ve purchased off a few too. I’ll always share my purchases to my stories so keep your eyes peeled.

Right I’m off, I’m going to start on my inbox and emails and then put my feet up, it’s been a very busy day. I’d just like to say a massive thank you for all your orders and thank you to everyone who’s just recently bought off me for the first time too, I’m so very grateful.

Be sure to have an amazing sparkly week, stay safe and……..happy melting! ❤️🌈

A Week Of Taking Photos

Happy Monday, are we on week 5 of lockdown now? I don’t know about you, but it feels normal to me being at home and not really leaving, well to be honest it’s 6 weeks since I left the house!

Anyway, let’s brighten your evening with what’s happening here at LIWL HQ this week…….it’s all about photos for the website. I’ve just had an order from MD Laser Works, you can find them on Facebook and Instagram. I can get on with taking new photos as they’ve cut me lots of words out, in red sparkle of course. So every night this week I’ll edit my photos and resize them and add them to the website, I enjoy taking photos of my wax and I hope you’ll love the new look too. It’ll take me most of the week as I’ve a lot to do, then once I’ve added the new photos to each scent category, I’ll then make a start on taking photos of each scent I do to then add it to all the correct listings. I’ve been wanting to do this since before Christmas, but then changed my mind on how I wanted my photos to look and tweaked a few things and then today the rest of my order arrived, so this afternoon I made a start taking photos. I’ve already uploaded one did you spot it?

Over the years of my website going live I’ve learnt a lot about photos and how to add them. Would you believe me if I told you when my web designer first built my website I couldn’t even put a product on, never mind add or edit a photo! I’ve always wanted to be able to add to my website, so he showed me a few basic steps and the rest I learnt with trying things out. Sometimes things just didn’t work and even now I sometimes do something and it goes wrong, but I never give up and I learn something new everyday.

Im also going to start teaching myself on how to use my photoshop and phone camera to my best advantage. I’ve started watching a few YouTube videos to give me some tips, but to be honest what I’ve managed to do so far has been through just having a go at things and clicking buttons and seeing what they do. I’ve been able to turn this photo on this blog from full colour to black and white with just showing the colour from my red lettering and the red decoration on my wax, I removed the main colour which was pink from my brittle piece. A month ago I wouldn’t have been able to do this. I’ve a lot to learn, but I love learning new things and I can’t wait to share over the coming weeks some of my new skills.

Being in lockdown gives you more time to think and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and writing notes down of the changes I want to make too.  I’m excited what’s going to be happening over the next coming months and I can’t wait to share with you all too. If you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll find out what’s happening before anyone else, as I’ll use this blog to keep you all informed.

I’d just like to thank everyone of you who actually takes time to read my Monday blog and also to those of you who leave a comment too. Honestly if someone had said to me over 5 years ago that I’d start writing blogs on my website I’d have laughed at them. I’ve never been one for writing and my grammar and spelling isn’t 100% but it’s wrote from the heart and I believe that’s better than anything.

I hope you all have an amazing sparkly night and week and please keep safe and stay at home.

Happy melting everyone!

love

Monday With A Difference

So I know many of you today will have started your Monday so differently to how we did last week……schooling at home? If someone had said to me last month, Rachel in March the country will be teaching their children from home, I’d have thought they were crazy!

I won’t lie, I’ve struggled what to write today with everything that’s going on right now, but one of my customers said something and it reminded me, that even though we are all going through something that’s so tough and it’s effecting everyone, I can still keep my positivity going so here goes………..

So Sunday evening we kept our normal routine, we got up this morning at our normal time……well I did actually let Alfie have a 35 minute lie in, we’ll he’s not school bus to catch today as today is the start of our dinning room becoming his classroom.

We had breakfast, Alfie went for cornflakes, he calls it his pigeon cereal 🤣, then he went upstairs got washed and changed ready for class starting at 8.30am. He then gave me the news I was dreading…….double geography 🤣🙈 help I’m rubbish at this! We logged onto the school website and printed off his worksheet, Africa, write 10 facts about famous landmarks………off to make a cup of tea whilst he makes a start lol…..I’m such a lightweight 🤣 actually he worked better than I thought, I had visions of us arguing,  it was so relaxed and enjoyable. He sailed through it and then moved on to English, which he told me he needed no help so I left him too it. He finished that in a breeze and then we decided it was break time and I said he could have a snack so he went for peanut butter on toast. He then had double Spanish, ok I’m like right I think I need another brew 🤣 he did this online, it was a quiz he had to complete and he only got 4 wrong…….pretty impressive I said. We did actually high five, I was so proud of him. He also had to read so he did about 30 minutes and then he had textiles to do, but we decided that we’d do this Tuesday. All in all he worked from 8.30am till 12.30pm and then I said I was happy with what he achieved and that his school day was finished. Now I’m one for education, but in these times we have a head for us to survive schooling we need to be more relaxed as I find he’ll work harder for shorter periods and he was actually happy. I believe it’s better for him to feel happy than to feel stressed. We’re staying positive, we did talk about what’s going on and I’m honest with him and because we are so open, it means he doesn’t worry the same. If you keep a positive mind, trust me each day will feel easier and also enjoy your time around your loved ones as how often do we actually spend so much time with them?

In between Alfie learning I was still running my business, ordering supplies, keeping track of what the government guide lines are and if any had changed and also keeping my mindset sparkly. If you’re reading this and you are a parent, or maybe a business owner or caring for family, remember you’re not alone and that we are all in this together and we will all lift each other up. I’ve got a lovely wax group and each day I’m going live to help keep spirits up, it’s a place you can chat, ask questions or just need support from someone. I have a group of my ladies who asked me to set up a group messenger chat, they are sharing what they are doing , sharing ideas what to do with their kids and in general just keeping spirits high.

The suns been shinning today so this afternoon we went for a walk, we live rural so we’re able to go for a nice walk just on our land and we picked daffodils and we rescued a blackbird that was stuck in our Polly tunnel and just couldn’t find out how to get out, we watched a squirrel running across the field and we listened to the birds singing to each other.

I can honestly say hand on heart our first day of being home and schooling was lovely, I learned things from Alfie I didn’t no and he learnt things from me too. We ordered supplies from amazon for some lessons we have to do, books school had recommended.

Today we’ve laughed, smiled and enjoyed our day together and tomorrow we’re starting our day doing the PE workout with Joe on YouTube as Alfie would normally have PE. We’ve had fun and I feel right now it’s more about having fun than being too strict, everyday we’ll do our learning, but we’ll have a relaxed approach to this so that everyday Alfie will enjoy it rather than feeling it’s a chore.

If you need someone to talk to, pop over to my wax group on Facebook, please don’t be alone and  remember………keep sparkling!

love

Hey, hey, hey!

Hey, hey, hey! My famous 3 words I often use and many no that when they hear these words it’s most likely me popping into your newsfeeds live. So this weeks blog I’m just going to share what I was up to last week.

It was a very wet week, but I didn’t let that dampen my sparkle, as I always say, it’s not rain it’s glitter falling from the sky! I like to turn most things into a positive if I can, it makes you feel better don’t you agree?

So last weeks was filled with so many things. First my monthly subscription slot payments were taken and it was also lovely to see some new customers sign up too……..don’t forget if you’ve not joined the VIP subscription Facebook group and you’ve got a subscription then click the link as I share sneaky peeps and sometimes have a giveaway and my subscribers share what scents they loved the most and I also share which scents make it to my list before I share with anyone else

https://www.facebook.com/groups/896339447450635/?ref=share

Once subscribers payments have cleared its then all about printing all their orders off, finalising my numbers and making a start on getting the wax made for these, this has actually started today, I did switch a scent from this months box for another as it’s one I couldn’t hold off on as it smells just amazing…….well they all do to be honest.

I also started getting ready to launch a new side of my business my branded clothing range……yes you heard right i now have my own clothing range that I make up all the artwork, cut it and then print it using a heat press. All clothing I offer is printed using quotes I love or I’ve altered to make them my own and of course my trademarked heart is added to each one too. I’ve been testing these since last year, making sure I perfected ow I printed them so I was happy before I launched, believe me at the start I was like……what have I done? 🤣 but it was just a few silly mistakes I made, but hey, that how you learn right? In between all this getting ready to launch I was still making wax and also getting customers orders out too. I have a nice little system going now which means my turn around much quicker and more organised. I did say to myself at the start of this year I wanted more organisation in my life to make my working day flow much easier and I’ve cracked it already. You’d think after 5 years in business I’d already be organised, but no I wasn’t as organised as I thought I was and a few little changes has made a massive difference.

Last week some of you may have seen I set up a new Instagram account to, this was so I could show off all my clothing orders and hopefully reach out to many new customers, as not everyone melts wax so I felt another account was a must and boy has it paid off! I created my account and at first called it LIWL Branded Clothing and it jut didn’t sit right with me, I felt it felt boring and not very inviting so I had a look at it and thought what am I trying to do? I’m trying to add a bit of sparkle to everyone’s life so that’s what I named it LIWL Sparkle. Now some of you may think, how do we no what she’s selling? Good point! Well here’s why I did it…………so you see an account in your feed, it says LIWL Branded Clothing and some instantly think I don’t want clothing, but then you see an account called LIWL Sparkle and you wonder what it’s about so you click on it and then think, oh I love this, I love how she’s put her quotes in her own range and then people engage more and start to comment and then make a purchase. Once they see who I am and what my business is about they are more likely to want to come back to visit my account. It’s not always about saying what your business is, I mean look at my Little Ideas With Love name…….now look at how many customers buy from me and my name doesn’t say what I do it only tells them it’s full of love and they remember me. You’ve always got to think outside the box and carefully pick the right name as a name can change everything. Since changing my clothing range name it’s changed many things and all for the better. I don’t want my new account to be all about selling I want people to enjoy reading what I’ll share, a place I can share quotes daily, a place I can hopefully make someone smile if they see me in their feed. Why not follow me if you aren’t already?  https://instagram.com/liwl_sparkle?igshid=motoayzeyqf9 you can also follow me on my main account too.

My working week is Monday to Friday, I try and stick to these times as I have a family and home to look after and even us business owners need a little break. I don’t really have set hours, as when you work for yourself you’ve got all your social media to run, stock to order, stock to make, orders to pack and then there’s the accounts and many other things too, but I am very strict with myself and don’t reply to messages outside my ‘normal’ working hours which I lock my workshop door between 4pm-5pm depending on what day it is, I aim to reply to messages during work hours, sometimes it may take me a few days to get through them, but what I love the most is that you can ask questions in my Facebook group and either my admin team or my customers can probably answer them.

Right it’s 18.30pm and I’m rambling now and I’ve the table to clear from tea and then the kitchen to clean, then I’ve washing to do, my accounts and I think I’ll leave the ironing till tomorrow…….I ironed yesterday so I’m not sure where my new ironing piles come from 🤦‍♀️ Lol.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my blog tonight, a bit different than normal, but sometimes I think it’s good to share with you something I’ve been doing and what’s new or what’s coming up. If there’s something you’d like to see me blog about please comment and let me no as I’d like to give you something you love to read and why not let you guys decide that.

I hope you have an amazing sparkly evening and……..happy melting!

‘’love

How to keep up to date on whats happening!

LIWL Newsletter Sign Up

How to keep up to date on whats happening!

Are you signed up for my newsletter? If the answers yes then thats great, but since December I’ve sent out several newsletters and many haven’t even opened them. Do you remember back in May 2018 when GDPR came in and i sent out a newsletter stating that if you didn’t click the link and agree to receiving further newsletters from me you’d no longer receive them? This is because this was a legal email every business had to send out to their newsletter signups and if you didn’t respond then you opted out. Only 47.7% opened it, 8 unsubscribed as that meant they no longer wanted to receive an email and the rest just didn’t open it, this means those who didn’t open it will no longer receive my emails.

My newsletters are there to inform you of whats going on, when you sign up for these its because you want to be able to see whats happening first and to also make sure you don’t miss out on maybe new products, a one off discount code, free postage maybe…….it could be anything! If you’ve not received an email off me lately, then you’ll need to sign up with me again. I have started to remove inactive accounts who haven’t opened an email off me in the last 12 months. You may wonder why i do this? Well it free’s up space for someone who would like to read my newsletters, i only get so much space before I’m charged for sending them, so to me its a little bit of a waste having someone on my list who hasn’t opened it in 12 months. Now there could be several reasons why they haven’t opened it, no longer use that email, put me in their spam folder or marked it not to receive newsletters on what news I’ve got to share. On Friday 14th February i sent out a newsletter offering 12% off orders for the weekend only. Only 31.4% of this signed up opened the email, some who opened it took advantage of the discount as it was one of the highest I have given in a long time and it was a one off too, more of a test to see who would open the email. So my message i want to get out today is…….if you sign up for a newsletter with any company, open it no matter what the head line might say as you just never know what might be hidden inside that email.

Please click the link https://www.littleideaswithlove.co.uk/newsletter-signup/

only if you wish to receive my newsletters. Once you sign up an email will be sent to you straight away to confirm you’ve requested this, you must confirm as if you don’t the system wont add you to the mailing list. Im going to be sharing more and more via my newsletter and also my blog too as have you every thought how would you communicate with me if all social media went down? Now i would communicate through my newsletter and blog and when i blog you too can leave a comment so if for example you had a question about something on my blog you could ask me and then i would respond and it could also answer someone else’s question too. The power of blogging can be very helpful and i really want more and more of my customers to see each Monday I’m blogging, some weeks i may blog more if I’ve something important to share, its always viewable and a great way to be able to get hold of me too.

Make a note in your diary for every week to checkout what I’ve shared and leave me a comment too. I really want to reach out to so many through blogging and with your help this will be possible.

I hope you all have a great day and your week ahead is full of sparkle. Don’t forget its half term so I’m taking a few days off this week so dispatch times are currently at 6 working days, this excludes weekends.

Happy melting!
